I am a Registered Nurse currently employed at Health Through the Marae. I have a 10 year background in cardiology from being a nurse in the Coronary Care Unit at Auckland City Hospital, Cardiology Nurse Educator in the Middle East and now an Interventional Cardiology Nurse Specialist/ Nurse Prescriber also at Auckland City Hospital.
I have been with Health Through the Marae for approximately a year and have thoroughly enjoyed working pre-dominately with our Māori whānau, listening to their stories, previous health journeys and getting an understanding of their current health conditions and where myself and our team can make a difference to their whole hauora. I have also learnt in such a short time, that just listening to whānau can make all the difference in improving their healthcare journey. I look forward to meeting more of the whānau within the Rohe and making a difference, big or small.
